Eksplosiv, energisk og fodstampende stor lyd

Top-rated, banebrydende og øjeblikkeligt fascinerende. Det er ikke underligt, at Talisk rangerer stærkt blandt de mest efterspurgte skotske folkbands. Ud over omfattende globale turnéer og koncerter på førende musikfestivaler på flere kontinenter har de tre musikere modtaget adskillige betydningsfulde priser for deres eksplosivt energiske og fodstampende store lyd. Publikum er vilde med trioen.

Mohsen Amini, Graeme Armstrong og Benedict Morris smelter koncertina, guitar og violin sammen til en innovativ multifacetteret fed lyd og giver et fængende liveshow, der fanger publikum verden over.

En foreløbig kulmination var da trioen lukkede hovedscenen lørdag aften i 2019 på Cambridge Folk Festival. Desuden har publikum beriget sig på Tønder Festival, the Rainforest World Music Festival på Borneo, WOMADs UK, Edmonton Folk Festival, Milwaukee Irish Festival, tre gange på Philadelphia Folk Festival, og seks optrædener på Glasgow’s Celtic Connections.

Talisk udgav Abyss i 2016. I 2018 toppede den 5-stjernede Beyond iTunes’ world music charge. Singlen Aura udkom i 2021. Seneste album Dawn udkom i februar 2022: https://talisk.bandcamp.com/album/dawn

Festival of leading Scottish & Gaelic contemporary folk & root bands – foot stomping jigs & reels, techno & bag pipes, flutes & fiddles and EDM
Skotland sprudler af boblende musik, hvor rødderne til den keltiske og gæliske kultur stikker dybt. Festivalen viser den aktuelle vitalitet med i alt seks eftertragtede bands, der optræder med et overflødighedshorn af synkoperede rytmer, vidunderlige numre samt underholdende sceneshows.

Festivalen er et samarbejde mellem Baltoppen LIVE og Showcase Scotland EXPO / Active Events støttet af bl.a. Creative Scotland samt Statens Kunstfond.
