I det højoktane værk Backbone tester 12 topakrobater og to livemusikere styrkens ekstreme grænser: hvad er styrke, hvor kommer den fra og hvordan måles den? Og hvilket udtryk har styrke: fysisk, følelsesmæssigt, individuelt og kollektivt? Forestillingen er en fejring af mennesker og relationer.

Verdensklasseartisterne fra det australske kompagni Gravity and Other Myths skaber bjergtagende scenebilleder, mens de frygtløst udfordrer grænserne for fysisk formåen i en sådan grad, at publikum sidder som naglet til sæderne i åndeløs spænding og betagelse.
